Fossil of the Year!

Anthropology...the study of humanity

3-D Reconstruction of Ancient Egyptian Mummy using X-ray Computer Tomography A study was undertaken using 'state of the art' facilities normally used clinically to image and reconstruct in 3-D an Egyptian mummy from the collection of the British Museum.  This page takes a while to load, but has some great photos! Neat technology.

VOLUNTEERING...Archaeological Excavations 1997  Many archaeologists enlist volunteer help on their digs, as volunteers are highly motivated and wish to learn and gain experience, although the work is often difficult and tedious. Usually, no previous experience is necessary. The work includes digging, shovelling, hauling baskets of earth and sherds, cleaning pottery sherds and more. Volunteers are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from Israel.
